Talk, Tech and Analysis Paralysis

Football prediction is arguably more of a science now than it ever was. Gone are the days when all you had to base your bet on was the league tables printed in the Sunday papers and the opinions of the resident ‘pundits’ propping up the bar at your local pub.

No matter where you are, you can now access a vast array of football information sources, day or night. The choice is overwhelming. Football prediction and analysis is everywhere: on TV multitudes of pundits share views on terrestrial and satellite channels. Online you have blogs, social media, dedicated soccer websites, chat rooms and forums.Indeed, while you study and absorb yet more and more information as you search for that perfect bet, do you ever feel as if you’re digging yourself into a deeper hole? The information explosion brought to us via the internet presents an unprecedented and instantaneous access to a wealth of data covering every aspect of any fixture across the globe.

Yet no matter how much you read and digest, the clarity you were looking for when you started the process just isn’t coming, and you just end up being more confused than you were when you started! You have a nasty case of information overload – or, what is known as analysis paralysis. Paralysed by all of the data sets, options, opinions, and conflicting information being thrown at you.

There’s still room for the old favourite sources too of course. Newspapers, TV and radio stay close to fans’ hearts that choose not to dabble in all things digital. Technology moves on with or without them, relentless in its pursuit of 24/7, up-to-the-minute advancement and live action. However technology will never entirely replace the kind of good old fashioned football knowledge that’s embedded in your grey cells. Any fan will tell you there’s nothing quite like a good post-march debate live and in person. But an online one comes close.

Here at SoccerIntelX we embrace both the old and new by filtering the data (cutting the wheat from the chaff) and securing insightful opinion from dedicated club ambassadors. Essentially, we’ll combine the tech and the talk to encourage positive and productive football discussion and analysis for you to engage with, and benefit from.
